Our Commitment
At The Global Lifestyle Hub, we believe everyone should be able to explore, shop, and engage with our content – regardless of ability. As someone who manages diabetes and understands firsthand how health conditions can impact sight, mobility, and daily life, we’re dedicated to making our site a welcoming, usable space for all.
Standards We Follow
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA – the global standard for web accessibility. This means we focus on making content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for every visitor.
What We’ve Implemented So Far
- Added tools to adjust text size, switch to high-contrast mode, and enable grayscale (via the accessibility toolbar in the corner of every page).
- Ensured all product images, banners, and icons have descriptive alt text so screen readers can convey visual content.
- Improved color contrast between text and backgrounds to make reading easier for those with low vision or color blindness.
- Made all buttons, links, and forms navigable via keyboard (for users who can’t use a mouse) and added clear focus indicators.
- Structured content with logical headings to help screen readers and keyboard users find what they need quickly.
Known Limitations
While we’re constantly working to improve, some areas are still in progress:
- A small number of older blog post images need updated alt text (we’re reviewing these weekly).
- Some third-party embedded videos do not yet have closed captions – we’re working with providers to add these.
How to Report Issues
If you encounter any barriers to using our site – or have ideas for how we can improve – please get in touch. We take all feedback seriously and will respond within 3 business days.
- Email: thegloballifestylehub@thegloballifestylehub.com
Future Improvements
We’re planning to:
- Add closed captions to all video content by March 2026.
- Audit and optimize our mobile checkout flow for better usability.
- Create a dedicated page with tips for navigating the site with specific conditions (like low vision or motor impairments).
We know accessibility is an ongoing journey, not a one-time fix. Thank you for being part of our effort to make The Global Lifestyle Hub a place where everyone feels included.
